Pessimist v. Optimist

In Hypsoconsciousness by John Baines, he says “the pessimist invites artificial stress as a result of his gloomy thoughts while the optimist acquires a certain resistance toward tension.”

When you are feeling stress around anything, if you can consciously say to yourself, “This is just an experience.”  It helps you to distance yourself from the stressful feelings and helps you realize that it is only an experience and not who you are.
